My name is Katelyn and I’m addicted to old homes. I don’t care how gorgeous it is - if it was built after 1930, I don’t want to live in it. I actually get weak in the knees when I see big, old staircases and beautiful moldings. I feel a rush when I uncover a tin ceiling that was hidden by ghastly drop ceiling tiles. However, since this is one addiction that can actually be profitable and useful, I’m not worried about it.

I’m looking for my 4th old house right now and thought it would be fun to share some of the things I’ve learned with other old house lovers. This is how the Old House Renovation blog began.
